#29 THE LORD’S SUPPER

Signs and symbols grab our attention; they are used to promote a product, to remind us of a want or a need. Signs and symbols can remind us of an event or inform us of an impending one. Some just warrant a casual glance, others demand closer attention. When a sign or symbol is coupled with an action, it can become a powerful teaching tool. The Bible contains many signs and symbols. Jesus was constantly using them to illustrate a point and teach a lesson. The night before Jesus died on the cross, He used signs and symbols in an act that would clearly teach His disciples what God’s love really means.
