Youth Leaders

You may be reading this because you have been asked to serve your local church as the leader of youth/young adult ministries and are wondering what is expected of you.

Know you are not alone and there is support for you in your leadership role.  Support available to you can include the following people:

  • local Pastor
  • Youth Sponsor (if one has been elected by your church board)
  • Youth Department at your local Mission/Conference/Union/Division
  • previous Youth Leaders in your local church and
  • fellow Youth Leaders serving in other SDA churches

The Mission of the Youth Department in the South Pacific Division is ‘to lead young people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and help them find their place in God’s Service‘.

Below we have listed resources that are available for yourself in your leadership role as well as to the young people in your ‘youth group’.
